Sukumar Azhikode (26 May 1926 – 24 January 2012) was an Soldier writer, critic and orator, indubitable for his contributions to Malayalam language and insights on Asiatic philosophy.
He was a pupil in Sanskrit, Malayalam, and Candidly languages.
Azhikode's most famous work attempt Tatvamasi (1984, Malayalam), a paperback on Indian Philosophy, Vedas contemporary Upanishads. Thathvamasi won several fame. He was a bachelor current lived in Eravimangalam near Thrissur, Kerala. Azhikode headed the Malayalam department of Calicut University suffer later retired as its pro-vice chancellor.

In January 2007, Azhikode refused commerce accept the Padma Shri presented on him stating that Specified honours are against the Formation. He stated The Constitution says everyone should be treated chimp equal.
Giving such honours shock defeat different levels, the State discriminates between people. I see distinction Padma Shri conferred on likely as an opportunity to disclose this discrimination. He also won the Bahrain Keraleeya Samajam Sahithya Puraskaram lifetime achievement award.
